Lrg French Vintage Copper Daubiere Braising Pan - Large vintage oval daubiere braising pan or roaster, 19th century. According to Rossetto Kasper, this piece is ideal for pot roast or cassoulet, the recessed lid serving as a receptacle for hot coals to ensure even cooking throughout. The seams along the circumference of the underside of the pan also indicate the artisanal nature of the vessel's construction. Impressed ”RD” along the exterior edge of the lid and the pot.
