Peter Lund ”Sunshine on the Coast” MN Painting - Peter F. Lund (American, 1846-1898). Oil on board painting titled ”Sunshine on the Coast, ” ca. 1880s-1890s. Depicting a seascape of the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Signed along the lower left. The Tweed Museum in Duluth, Minnesota holds a large collection of Lund's works. Unframed; height: 18 1/4 in x width: 23 in. Framed; height: 23 3/4 in x width: 28 1/2 in x depth: 2 in. Condition: The painting has been restored. The varnish is slightly toned and there are some areas of craquelure throughout, especially along the lower right corner. Wear along the extreme edges, in particular the left edge where there are some visible chips along the extreme upper left corner. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
