Pr Japanese Bronze Usubata Vases - Pair of Japanese bronze usubata vases, likely Meiji era. Comprised of a circular flanged foot upon which rests a curving branch with blossoms. The body of the vase rests upon these branches and are decorated extensively in relief with floral motifs as well as phoenix and figures in landscapes. Each with two applied handles whose form echo that of the blossoming branch below. The wide, circular flat rims - which are removable - are molded in relief with a bird perched in a branch. Each, height: 10 1/4 in x width: 7 in x diameter: 5 1/4 in. Condition: One of the vases with a broken handle. No other dents or losses. Tarnishing throughout.
