Grp 7 Japanese Stoneware Incl. Kawai Kanjiro - Kawai Kanjiro (Japanese, 1890-1966). Glazed stoneware rectangular flask. Also included are five stoneware bowls and one ovoid vase with a flared rim, all 20th century. Provenance: From the Collection of Ellen and Frederick Wells. Height ranges from 1 3/4 in to 8 1/4 in; width ranges from 3 3/4 in to 4 3/4 in; depth ranges from 2 1/4 in to 4 3/4 in. Condition: There are no breaks, losses, or signs of restoration when examined under UV light. Crazing to the glaze throughout. Some fleabite chips along the rims. Light wear to the footims. Some of the bowls with firing flaws along the undersides.
