19th c. Hotei Netsuke Signed Sukeyoshi w/ Shears - Sukeyoshi (Japanese, 19th c). Antique carved wooden netsuke in the form of Hotei with his sack. Connected to a modern bonsai shears. With a silk storage case. Provenance: Purchased from I.M. Chait Gallery, December 5, 1993. (Shears case) height: 2 3/4 in x width: 3/4 in x depth: 1/2 in. (Ojime) height: 1 1/2 in x width: 3/4 in x depth: 3/4 in. Condition: There are no breaks, losses, or chips. The shears function and work well. Light wear throughout including scuffs and scratches to the shears and ojime case.
