Haku Maki ”Persimmon” Embossed Woodblock - Haku Maki (Maejima Tadaaki) (Japanese, 1924-2000). Color woodcut and silkscreen with raised embossed fruit and mica ink titled ”Persimmon 76-58” depicting a vibrant citrus against a deep black background, 1976. Pencil signed along the lower right; titled along the lower center; numbered 8/200 along the lower left. Sight; height: 10 in x width: 8 1/2 in. Framed; height: 15 in x width: 13 1/4 in x depth: 1 in. Condition: The colors are bold and deep. There are no visible tears, losses, or restorations. The sheet is toned; there is evidence of acidic mat burn along the lower edge. Housed under an acidic mat. Framed under glass; light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
