Ohara Koson ”White-Fronted Goose” Woodblock - Ohara Koson (Japanese, 1877-1945). Woodblock print on paper titled ”Flying White-Fronted Goose Seen from Underneath in front of the Moon.” Signature along the lower right. Provenance: From the Collection of Ellen and Frederick Wells. Height: 14 1/2 in x width: 7 1/2 in. Condition: The colors are bold and bright. The sheet is lightly toned. It appears that the right and lower margins have been trimmed. To the verso, there is a small penciled inscription along the lower edge and two residual pieces of framer's tape affixed to the upper edge of the verso. The work is not framed.
