Chimayo Wool Whirling Log Blanket 5'11"x3'9"
Native American Chimayo or Mexican wool shoulder wearing blanket or wall-hanging rug textile, 20th century. The carpet with stepped diamond medallion and central field depicting profuse banded motifs interspersed with whirling log forms throughout. Executed in red, black, and cream.
Length: 5 ft 11 in x width: 3 ft 9 in.
Condition: The colors are bold and bright. There are no significant losses or signs of restoration. There is a small hole approximately 1/4 in size along one edge. No stains or odors. Light wear along the extreme edges.
