Navajo Wool Chinle/Wide Ruins Textile 3'9”x2'8” - Dine (Navajo) Native American wool Chinle or Wide Ruins style, possibly Ganado, double saddle-blanket or wall-hanging rug textile, early 20th century. The carpet with central field depicting banded motifs and triangular forms radiating from a single band of diamonds along the center. Executed in red, dark brown, and cream. Length: 3 ft 9 in x width: 2 ft 8 in. Condition: There are no large, major holes or tears. There is a minute repair near the center. No odors. Some soiling throughout. Light wear along the extreme edges. There is a minute threadbare area along the upper edge, possibly evidence of moth grazing.
