Native American Beaded Hide Saddle Bag - Native American beaded hide saddlebag; decorated in red, white, and blue beads. The bag stamped ”U.S.” in reverse along one of the flaps - likely as the front of the stamp is covered by beading - possibly indicating government issue for United States cavalry. Total length: 43 in x width: 11 in. Condition: The leather is somewhat stiff with age. Areas of wear throughout consistent with age and use. Small areas of missing beads. One missing rivet to one of the bag flaps. There are two major repairs along the underside; one corresponding to a loss to the leather.
