Georgian Verre Eglomise Pendant - Georgian Neoclassic verre eglomise pendant depicting cupid laying down his arrow in a pastoral setting. Set in a gold palted frame suspended from three chains and with suspension ring at the bottom. Verre eglomise was predominately used in mourning jewelry, further indicated by the broken columns and cupid's kneeling posture with bowed head. This piece likely commemorated the death of a lover. Length: 49.4 mm x width: 37.7 mm. Gross weight: 16.6 g. Condition: Losses to the frame, some minor losses to the painting particularly at the edge.
