Late 19th c. Ormolu French Garniture Set - Late 19th century French gilt bronze ormolu three-piece garniture set, cast from models by Jean Louis Gregoire and Mathurin Moreau. The set comprised of a mantel clock and pair of six-light candelabra. The clock surmounted by a bronze group depicting two bacchantes on a circular base. Inscribed ”L Gregoire” along the base. Both candelabra modeled as putti supporting the branches of the candelabra; each with ”M Moreau” inscribed along the base. (Candelabras, each approx.) height: 28 in x diameter: 12 in. (Sculpture) height: 30 1/2 in x diameter: 15 in. Gross weight: 124 lbs 14 oz Condition: To most of the components, there are no major breaks or losses. To to red marble bases, there are some chips along the extreme edges and high points. Tarnishing to the metal components throughout. One of the putti figures wobbles slights. Wear to the feet. Some dust gathered throughout.
