Barbedienne After Huguenin Napoleon Bronze Plaque - Ferdinand Barbedienne (French, 1810-1892) after Jean Pierre Victor Huguenin (French, 1802-1860). Bronze plaque of General Napoleon Bonaparte. Huguenin signature incised along the center left; incised along the lower center right edge ”F. Barbedienne Fondeur.” Incised plaque located along the velvet below the bronze, reading ”Le General Bonaparte par Huguenin.” Bronze; height: 15 in x width: 12 1/2 in. Overall; height: 18 1/2 in x width: 16 in x depth: 5 in. Gross weight including backboard: 15 lbs 14 oz. Condition: There are no major dents, losses, or restorations. Areas of uneven patination throughout. Some light scuffs and scratches throughout. Wear to the velvet and board backing including a tear along the lower edge.
