Ernst Fuchs ”Sphinx II” Bronze Sculpture - Ernst Fuchs (Austrian, 1930 - 2015). Patinated bronze sculpture titled ”Sphinx II, ” 1991, depicting a crouching armless sphinx. Signed, numbered 224/1000, and impressed with the Strassacker Kunstguss Sussen along the figure's leg. The sculpture rests on a stone base. Provenance: Dorotheum, Vienna, February 27, 2008, lot 167; From the Estate of Horst Rechelbacher, Osceola, Wisconsin. Height: 12 1/2 in x width: 6 1/4 in x depth: 11 1/4 in. Condition: There are no scratches, losses, dents, or repairs. Light dust gathered in the recessed areas. Small chips to the marble base near the back legs.
