Barton Lidice Benes ”Cricket (Red)” Mixed Media - Barton Lidice Benes (American, 1942-2012). Mixed media artwork titled ”Cricket (Red), ” 1986. Depicting a cricket bat hitting a ball. Pencil signed along the lower left; dated along the lower right. The work is made of shredded and torn currency. Height: 31 3/4 in x width: 24 1/2 in x depth: 3 3/4 in. Condition: Due to the nature of the work, it is difficult to discern whether it has been compromised; however, there are no visible tears, losses, or signs of restoration. Light wear along the deckled edges. Light undulation along the right side of the work. Floated in frame atop Arches paper. Housed within a plexiglass frame. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
