4 Chinese Carved or Inlaid Wooden Boxes - Group of four Chinese wooden boxes. Including: One small lacquered red box with carved scene along the lid depicting three figures beneath a tree. One large intricately carved jewelry chest. The hinged lid depicting scholars seated around a table. Two embellished and inlaid boxes. One depicting three male figures in a landscape; the second depicting two women or guanyin figures. Height ranges from 1 3/4 in to 5 in; width ranges from 4 3/4 in to 7 1/4 in; depth ranges from 3 1/2 in to 5 3/4 in. Condition: Wear throughout all boxes. There is crazing and some losses to the red lacquer box. The top of the larger carved box is detached; heavy losses to the silk-lined interior of the box. Losses to the mother-of-pearl decoration to two boxes.
