Early 20th c. Chinese Painted Wedding Box - Chinese stacking wedding box or three-tiered basket, early 20th century. Of rectangular form with woven cane and carved wood. The lid painted to depict a seated and robed figure with sword. Height: 12 1/2 in x width: 6 in x depth: 10 in. Condition: There are no major breaks or losses to the caning. There are no breaks or losses to the wood. Some fading and wear to the laquer painting along the lid. Light debris gathered along the recessed areas.
