19th c. Chinese Apothecary Wooden Chest - Chinese wooden medicine cabinet or apothecary chest, 19th century. With thirty-eight drawers featuring C-form brass handles. Each drawer with painted characters. Height: 24 in x width: 34 in x depth: 13 1/2 in. Condition: There is a break to the front left corner of the chest was well as the back third of the upper surface. Some of the drawers move with resistance or are difficult to open, likely due to warping to the wood. Scuffs and scratches throughout. Several signs of repair of restoration, largely to the rear left foot. Wear to the feet.
