12 19th c. Chinese Pith Paper Paintings - Group of twelve 19th century Chinese pith paper paintings, bound in a book. Each scene depicting a group of figures, possibly a parade. Minneapolis Institute of Art loan label affixed to the cover of the book. Loan: Minneapolis Institute of Art, L.61.579.81, 1961. Height: 10 1/4 in x width: 14 1/2 in x depth: 1 in. Condition: The sheets are toned. Many of the paintings have creases throughout. There are tears along many of the paintings, primarily along the lower edges. The cover has become detached from the portfolio.
