Isidro Carnicero ”Fiesta de Toros...Aire” Etching - Isidro Carnicero (Spanish, 1736-1804). Etching on paper titled ”Fiesta de Toros en el Aire (Bullfighting Festival in the Sky), ” engraved in 1784. Depicting a scene of a bullfighter and a bull held aloft in the sky by two large balloons. A crowd of onlookers watches from below. Sight; height: 13 3/4 in x width: 9 1/2 in. Framed; height: 18 in x width: 15 in x depth: 1 in. Condition: The sheet is toned. There is matburn along the perimeter of the work. There is a small area of moisture exposure along the upper third of the work. Floated in frame atop an acidic mat. Framed under glass. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
