French Miniature Portrait of a Lady - French miniature portrait depicting a lady of rank with flowers and a blue cloth, possibly dressed as a nymph. Pencil inscription along the verso indicating the work was cleaned in 1979. Sight; height: 2 1/4 in x width: 2 3/4 in. Framed; height: 2 1/4 in x width: 3 1/4 in x depth: 1/4 in. Condition: The colors are slightly muted. There are no visible tears. There are some minute losses to the pigment throughout. There are some areas of accretions that fluoresce under UV light. Framed under glass. Wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
