French Miniature Portrait of Madame de Pompadour - French miniature portrait of Madame de Pompadour with a small dog. In a rectangular gilt frame. Pencil inscription denoting the subject along the verso. Sight; height: 2 in x width: 3 in. Framed; height: 2 3/4 in x width: 3 3/4 in x depth: 1/2 in. Condition: The colors are bold and bright. Along the upper right corner, there is a scratch. There are some minute losses to the pigment throughout, primarily along the extreme edges of the work. Framed under glass. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
