Inscribed ”Paris” along the lower left. Provenance: Purchase from Sotheby's New York, Sale 5581, Lot 334, 1987; Private Minnesota Collection. Unframed; height: 15 1/2 in x width: 19 1/2 in. Framed; height: 21 in x width: 25 in x depth: 3 in. Condition: The work has been relined. Craquelure throughout. Evidence of areas of inpainting when inspected under UV light, especially along the face and hands. A thick varnish makes discovering the extent of the inpainting difficult. Light wear to the frame.
