2 Peter Lupori Pastel Drawings - Peter Lupori (American, 1918-2014). Group of two pastel drawings on paper including: One depicting a geometric scene in bright colors. Pencil signed and dated 1998 along the lower right. One depicting a still life of fruits including bananas, pears, apples, and grapes in a basket. Pencil signed and dated 2002 along the lower right. Peter Lupori was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and educated in Italy with John Donald and William Reed. After his military service during World War II, Lupori earned M.Ed. in art education and became an Instructor in Art at the University of Minnesota, Extension Division, and the Colleges of St. Catherine and St. Thomas in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. His work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions including the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the College of St. Catherine. (Abstract) height: 12 in x width: 18 in. (Fruits) height: 11 in x width: 15 in. Condition: Both works are in good condition with no major tears, creases, losses, or restorations. The colors are bold and bright. The still life with some unevenness along the upper left corner, likely original to the artistic practice. Both works are affixed with tape to a non-acidic backing. Neither are framed. Versos not inspected.
