6 John Geldersma Carved Wood Spirit Poles 1997 - John Geldersma (American, b. 1942). Group of six carved and painted pine wood Outsider Art ”Spirit Totem Pole” sculptures, ca. 1997. Each of towering form with vibrant banded colors, terminating in angular points. Three of the poles with serrated regions along the upper third of the central column. The second to largest totem pole is signed and dated 1997 along the base. Provenance: LewAllen Contemporary, New Mexico, 1998; From the Estate of Gary Fink. Gary C. There are few minute areas where the pigment has been flaked or chipped. Light wear to the bases.
