Othniel Art Oomittuk Jr. Spirit Wheel Style Mask - Othniel Art Oomittuk Jr. (Inuit (Tikigaqmuit), 20th c). Finely carved spirit wheel style cedar wood mask with inlaid eyes and carved organic material mammal along either corner of the mouth, 2001. Surrounded by three concentric circles; the fins, tail, and head of whale pointing towards the four primary cardinal points. Signed and dated along the interior and the side. Provenance: Heard Museum, Arizona; Private Collection, New York. Height: 4 1/4 in x width: 18 in x depth: 12 1/2 in Condition: Very light wear. There are no major breaks, bends, or losses. Some components are slightly loose.
