Mark Tungilik Carved Animal Totem ca. 1980 - Mark Tungilik (Inuit (Naujaat - Repulse Bay), 1913-1986). Carved organic material totem pole figure depicting layered and stacked arctic animals and additional life forms with shaman's faces along the center, ca. 1980. Surmounted atop a stone base. Provenance: Heard Museum, Arizona; Private Collection, New York. Height: 17 1/2 in x width: 3 1/2 in x depth: 2 1/2 in. Condition: There are no major breaks or losses. There are a few possible minute chips to the apex of the beluga's tail.
