Napachee Pitsivlak Scrimshaw w/ Stone Seal Carving - Napachee Pitsivlak (Inuit (Kimmirut - Lake Harbor), b. 1935). Carved organic material scrimshaw depicting hunting scenes and figures, ca. 1955. Surmounted by three carved soap stone seals. Provenance: Heard Museum, Arizona; Private Collection, New York. Length: 12 in x width: 2 3/4 in x depth: 1 3/4 in. Condition: There are no breaks, losses, or repairs. Some toned striations along the length of the carving, likely original to the material.
