Lukie Airut Carved Transformation Drum Dancers - Lukie Airut (Inuit (Iglulik - Igloolik), 1942-2018). Carved organic material transformation sculpture depicting a shamanic transformation and mammal figure with drum dancers. Incised signature and igloo sticker along the underside. Provenance: Heard Museum, Arizona; Private Collection, New York. Height: 3 1/4 in x width: 4 1/4 in x depth: 3 in. Condition: Due to the nature of the material, it is difficult to discern whether the carving has been compromised. However, there are no obvious large breaks, losses, or repairs. Some possibel small chips along high points of the carving. Light wear to the base.
