Hide and felt doll dressed in Tlingit or Athabascan costume, donning a visor with whale motifs, early 20th century. Comprised of hide, felt, fur, beads, clay and shell. Signed along the stand. Floyd & Amelia Kingeekuk Savoonga hunter doll, circa 2006. Provenance: Heard Museum, Arizona; Private Collection, New York. Height ranges from 12 1/2 in to 13 in. Condition: There are no major losses. Brittleness to the seal gut parka and one tear to the coat along the arm. Light wear to the pigment, particularly along the paddle. Light wear to the stand.
