4 Ho-Chunk Splint Woven Black Ash Baskets - Group of four Native American Ho-Chunk (Winnebago) splint woven black-ash baskets. Including: One large gathering basket with bentwood handle. Featuring a dyed red band along the shoulder, flanked by narrow bands of black and dark brown. Pencil signed ”Ona Vinger” and inscribed ”Argyle, Wisconsin” along the underside. One lidded sewing basket with curled forms along the lid, footrim, and center of the body. Two rectangular gathering baskets with bentwood handles. Height ranges from 6 1/2 in to 11 1/2 in; width ranges from 9 1/2 in to 13; depth ranges from 6 in to 13 in. Condition: There are some small scattered breaks to the caning. There are several losses to the protruding loops along the sewing basket handle. There are some small areas of soiling throughout. Light dust gathered throughout.
