Early 20th c. Navajo Wool Red Mesa Rug 6'x3'10” - Dine (Navajo) wool Red Mesa or Four Corners regional rug textile featuring a Transitional-style pattern, ca. 1920. The carpet with central field depicting three rows of serrated geometric forms. Executed in grey, cream, and brown wools. Length: 6 ft x width: 3 ft 10 in. Condition: The colors are bold and deep. No odors. There are no signs of current insect activity. There is a linear area along the lower right quadrant with small areas of soiling. Some wear along the extreme edges and tassels, particularly along the upper and lower border bands.
