American Encaustic Tile Art Deco Figural Vase - American Encaustic Tile Co., United States. Art Deco pottery vase depicting a stylized female form in the manner of Franz Hagenauer (Austrian, 1906-1986), ca. 1920s. The figure with elongated face, her hair elegantly curving along the sides of the vessel. Executed in a mottled pale-green and brown glaze. Impressed ”AETCO” mark along the underside. Height: 12 in x width: 4 1/4 in x depth: 5 1/2 in. Condition: There are no breaks, losses, or signs of repair. Light crazing to the glaze. Light wear to the footrim. There is one partial felt pad and three areas of residual adhesive, likely previously affixed to additional felt pads.
