Zark Pottery Art Nouveau Young Maiden Ceramic Bust - Zark Pottery, United States. Rare Art Nouveau ceramic bust depicting a young maiden with demure expression, early 20th century. Likely modeled after Henri Jacobs's (Belgian, 1864-1935) bronze sculpture titled ”Fiorentina.” Incised ”ZARK” along the lower edge. Height: 8 in x width: 12 in x depth: 5 in. Condition: There are no major losses. There are signs of restoration and areas that fluoresce under UV light along the woman's hair. There is a small area of flaking to the glaze along the verso of the left shoulder. Light wear to the footrim.
