2 Indonesian Carved Wood Topeng Dance Masks - Group of two Indonesian, likely Javanese or Balinese, carved wood and pigment wayang topeng dance masks, 20th century. (Red) Height: 7 3/4 in x width: 5 1/2 in x depth: 5 in. (Black) Height: 7 in x width: 5 3/4 in x depth: 4 in. Condition: To one mask, there is a large crack along the left side, extending downward form the apex of the head to the eye socket. Some wear to the gilt and pigment along both masks, including losses and areas of flaking. There are chips along the extreme edges of both figures noses. There is a repaired break to the right cheek of the black mask.
