3 Chinese Stamp Seals Wood, Bronze, & Paktong - Group of three Chinese stamp seals. One of carved wood, possibly sandalwood, of tapered block form. One composed of white copper referred to as ”Paktong, ” valued for its durability and silver-like luster, ca. 1900. One 19th century bronze Budai representing abundance and good fortune. A similar wood seal of block form is retained within the British Museum, accession no. 1894,1117.7. (Buddha) Height: 1 1/4 in x width: 3/4 in x depth: 3/4 in. (Paktong) Height: 1 1/4 in x width: 1 in x depth: 1/2 in. (Wood) Height: 1 1/2 in x width: 1 1/2 in x depth: 1 1/4 in. Condition: Wear throughout commensurate with age and use. There is a minute chip along the corner of the handle to the paktong seal. To the wooden seal, there are red ink accretions along the recessed areas of the underside. Tarnishing to the bronze seal.
