20th c. Chinese Carved White Jade Vase - Chinese 20th century white jade vase with cover of moon flask form. Featuring intricate cartouche relief carvings of foliage along both sides of the body. Two pierced handles of dragon form along the upper body of the vase with a rounded finial atop the cover. Two four-character seal marks incised along the upper body; one along each side. With a Bonhams label. Provenance: Bonhams, ”Chinese Ceramics Works of Art Auction, ” Sale No. 30804, Lot 1302; Private Collection, Hawaii. Height: 8 1/2 in x width: 4 1/2 in x depth: 1 3/4 in. Weight: 578.21 g. Condition: There is a vertical repaired crack where one of the handles meets the vase, measuring approximately 1 1/4 inches. There is a small repaired chip along the rim of the vase; a few fleabite chips surrounding the repair. There are scattered fleabite to small-sized chips along the high points of the medallions, the footrim, and the repairs. To the lid, there is a repaired break to the finial, which has been reattached to the lid; there is toned glue residue visible along the repair. There are light fleabite to small-sized chips along the carved elements and the rims of the lid. Scattered white accretions along the interior of the lid and vase.
