Pr Meissen Teabowls & Saucers ca. 1735 - Meissen, Germany. A pair of porcelain teabowls and saucers, ca. 1735. Each painted with Chinoiserie scenes. Blue crossed swords mark and gilder's initial ”H”. Pressnummer 64 to the saucers. Provenance: Christie's, London, ”Important Continental Ceramics, ” December 3, 1984, Lot 280; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Teabowls, each) Height: 2 in x diameter: 3 in. (Saucers, each) Diameter: 5 1/4 in. Condition: There are no cracks or signs of restoration. To one of the saucers, there is a small chip along the rim. There are losses to the gilt along the rims; some losses to the pigment, especially one saucer along the hem of the figure. Along the footrims, there are fleabite to small sized chips.
