Pr Meissen Neu-Ozier Oval Salts ca. 1750 - Meissen, Germany. Pair of porcelain Neu-Ozier pattern oval salts, ca. 1750. Spiral ribs and basket weave texture with floral decoration. Blue crossed swords mark. Provenance: Philip Suval, Inc., New York, NY, March 16, 1976; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. The Neu-Ozier pattern, which is the third iteration of the Ozier pattern, is a classic rococo design likely developed by Johann Joachim Kandler. (Each) Height: 1 1/2 in x width: 4 1/4 in x depth: 3 in. Condition: There are no cracks or signs or restoration. To each of the dishes, there are small chips along the footrims. Light wear to the gilt and glaze, including minute losses.
