Meissen Quatrefoil Spoon Tray ca. 1730 - Meissen, Germany. A porcelain quatrefoil spoon tray, ca. 1730. Painted in the manner of J.G. Herold with Chinoiseries figures within a gilt, iron-red, and puce cartouche. Gilder's mark ”J.” along the underside along with blue crossed swords. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 1 1/4 in x width: 7 in x depth: 5 1/2 in. Condition: There are no cracks or signs of restoration. Along the rim, there are some losses to the gilt. A few light scratches throughout. Along the footrim, there are a few fleabite chips, noticeable upon close inspection.
