Sevres Blue Bottle Cooler w/ Porcelain Flowers - Sevres, France. Porcelain bottle cooler as a jardiniere fitted with porcelain flowers on a tole stems. Marked with blue interlaced L mark and date letter LL for 1788; painter's mark for Fontaine, though the decoration is possibly later. With gilt scroll handles with reserves of landscapes and birds. Height: 13 1/2 in x width: 13 1/2 in x depth: 11 1/2 in. Condition: To the jardiniere, there are restorations and repaired breaks with staples throughout. To the flowers, there are small to moderately-sized losses, primarily along high points of the petals. To some of the flowers, there are restorations along where the blooms meet the metal stems. To the metal components, there is tarnishing and some dust accumulated. Accretions along the interior of the bottle cooler.
