Royal Vienna Pastoral Coffee Pot - Royal Vienna, Austria. Porcelain coffee-pot with lid painted with pastoral scenes, ca. 1780. Painted with a cartouche of a horseman and large cow in a stream with two sheep; the opposite side with a cartouche of a seated couple with a cow and goats. Decorated with a flower finial and flowers throughout with gilt detail. Beehive mark along the underside. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 8 3/4 in x width: 5 1/2 in x diameter: 4 1/4 in. Condition: There are some losses and area of flaking to the pigment of the leaves depicted along the lid. Light wear to the gilt along the extreme edges.
