Coalport Flower Encrusted Cup & Saucer ca. 1820 - Coalport, England. Porcelain flower encrusted cup, cover, and saucer, ca. 1820. The cup with everted mouth and branch handles painted with loose bouquets. Blue script mark. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Teacup) Height: 4 in x width: 5 in x depth: 3 3/4 in. (Saucer) Diameter: 6 1/4 in. Condition: There are chips and losses to the applied foliate elements. There is a hairline crack along the lid, and an additional hairline crack along the rim of the saucer. Some crazing to the glaze. Foliate elements along the lid of the teacup have been repaired. Some wear to the gilt and pigment. Light wear to the footrims. Several labels affixed to the underside of each component.
