Hochst Porcelain Bouillon Cup ca. 1775 - Hochst, Germany. Porcelain bouillon cup with cover and stand, ca. 1775. Painted with floral sprays in pink and green with a floral finial. Blue wheel and incised IE marks along the underside. Provenance: Christie's East, New York, NY, ”Important European Porcelain and Faience, ” January 30, 1985, Lot 200; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Cup) Height: 4 in x width: 3 3/4 in x diameter: 2 3/4 in. (Plate) Diameter: 5 1/4 in. Condition: There are no cracks. Along the footrim of the cup and saucer, there are a few fleabite to small sized chips. There is a small chip along the rim of the lid. Along in inner rim of the saucer, there is a small firing flaw. To the lid, there are small losses to the leaves. Small losses to the gilt along the rims.
