English Porcelain Plaque of Still Life - Likely Derby, English. Porcelain plaque painted with a spray of flowers, ca. 1835. Finely painted with peony, rose, fuchsia, foxglove, nasturtium, stock, and tulip on a brown ground. With a giltwood frame. Provenance: South Audley Art Galleries Ltd., London, September 14, 1976; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Unframed; height: 7 3/4 in x width: 9 3/4 in. Framed; height: 14 3/4 in x width: 16 1/2 in x depth: 2 1/4 in. Condition: There are no visible cracks or chips. There is a minute loss to the orange flower. Some light scratches. Wear to the frame, including glue repairs to the lower right corner. Not inspected out of frame.
