Pr Meissen Swans & Cignets Figures ca. 1860 - Meissen, Germany. Pair of porcelain models of swans and cignets, ca. 1860. With enamel color trim. The swans modeled standing with a cignet on their back and betwixt their legs. A PAIR OF MEISSEN MODELS OF SWANS AND CIGNETS Circa 1860. Enamel color trim. Blue crossed swords mark and incised signature along the underside of each. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Each) Height: 5 1/4 in x width: 4 1/2 in x depth: 2 3/4 in. Condition: To one of the figurines, the neck of each cignet has been restored. To the tail of one cignet, there is a minute linear area that fluoresces under UV light. To the right wing of one swan, there is a small linear firing flaw. To each of the figurines, there are a few fleabite chips, particularly along the extreme edges of the wings, noticeable only upon touch. Very light wear to the undersides, including fleabite chips noticeable only upon touch.
