Pair Bow Models of Birds ca. 1760 - Bow, England. Pair of porcelain models of birds, ca. 1760. Each bunting seated on a branch of a tree applied with flowers. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Each) Height: 3 in x width: 3 1/2 in x depth: 2 1/2 in. Condition: There are signs of restoration that fluroesce under UV light to both wings of both birds, as well as to the protruding tails. There are additional signs of restoration to both beaks: to the bird with the yellow-feathered head, there is a complete restoration to the beak; to the bird with the blue and purple-feathered head, there is a restoration to the beak tip. There are some chips and losses to the applied floral and foliate elements; one flower beneath the yellow-feathered bird with signs of a repaired break, two flowers beneath the blue and purple feathered bird with signs of repaired breaks. Light wear to the footrims.
