Pr Bow Bocage Models of Birds ca. 1755 - Bow, England. Pair of bocage models of birds, ca. 1755. Each modelled as two birds seated at the terminus of two flower encrusted tree branches. Recumbent lambs at the base. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Each) Height: 7 in x width: 5 3/4 in x depth: 4 in. Condition: To each figurines, there are chips and losses to the applied foliate elements. To the base of each figurine, there are signs of restoration, particularly along the left sides of the bases. Restorations to nearly all flowers and all legs of the birds. Some restorations to the trunks. Some wear to the pigment. Some wear to the undersides. There are two labels affixed along the underside of each.
