Pr Staffordshire Fox Figurines ca. 1820 - Staffordshire, England. Pair of porcelain models of seated foxes, ca. 1820. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Each) Height: 3 in x width: 2 1/4 in x depth: 1 3/4 in. Condition: There are restorations to each of the fox's ears. Possibly some light restoration or inpainting to the muzzles. To one of the foxes, there is a hairline crack along the ankle of each front leg. There is a small linear firing flaw along the underside. To the other fox, there is a small loss to the glaze along the right ear. Light wear to the gilt, including small losses. Crazing to the glaze to both figurines. To each, there is light wear to the undersides, including fleabite to small-sized chips.
