Pr English Porcelain Fox Models - Pair of Derby or Staffordshire English porcelain models of foxes, ca. 1780. Modelled seated with gilt collars on a green and gilt base. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Each) Height: 4 in x width: 3 in x depth: 2 in. Condition: To each of the foxes, the ears have been restored. To the fox pointed to the right, there are two repaired cracks along each of the front legs. There is a linear firing flaw along the fox's right hind leg. To the other fox, there is a small hairline crack along the front, left ankle. To each of the foxes, there is crazing to the glaze, particularly along the chest areas. There is light wear to the glaze, including small losses. Along the undersides, there are a few fleabite to small sized chips, primarily along the extreme edges.
